House Speaker, and third in-line to be President, Nancy Pelosi, D-Ca., insisted she didn't know anything at all about the CIA using waterboarding on accused Terrorists while George W. Bush was POTUS. At least that's her story, and she is sticking with it... But Rep. Pete Hoeskstra, R-Mi., and now even the CIA itself, says differently, but Pelosi's spokesperson is still sticking to the script of denial based on the fact that the CIA Brief Pelosi attended didn't clearly address the subject of waterboarding. Rep. Hoekstra is the ranking Republican on the House Inteligence Committee, and he brings up an interesting, and valid arguement, and I quote him;
"I think that nobody wants to take any accountability for it, Is it fair to go after people in the CIA or at the Justice Department when Congress was briefed on this program and knew it was going on? That doesn't seem very fair to me. If there is going to be any accountability, Congress is where it needs to start."
What Rep. Hoeskstra is saying makes sense, at least to me anyway. Right now quite a few Democrats are all for starting a witch hunt on this subject, all means President O'Boy too, of course he is sorta-kinda hiding behind the scenes and letting his AG, Eric Holder do his talking, like Pelosi is letting her spokesperson do hers. Liberals are calling the interrogation technic's "Torture" "It's a Crime!", their demanding the heads of those in the CIA and the past Justice Department just to cover their own behinds! If we allow them to prosecute one CIA or Justce Dept. employee over this, then we have to demand that all of those who took in the proceedings, or CIA Briefs be prosecuted also. That would include House Speaker Pelosi, who by her own admission was briefed once in September, 2002 when she was a senior member of the House Inteligence Committee, and her replacement on that committee, Rep. Jane Harman, D-Ca. was also present at one briefing in February, 2003! So it isn't like anyone in Congress didn't know, just like Rep. Hoekstra said.
According to the new CIA Director, Leon Panetta in his 5/6/2009 letter accompanying the CIA Brief records to Rep. Silvestre Reyes, D-Tx., which shows the Congress was briefed 40 times by the CIA, and 13 of the briefings the subject of waterboarding was covered. DCI Panetta stated on the cover letter; "In the end, you and the Committee will have to determine whether this information is an accurate summary of what actually happened."
AG Eric Holder wants to go forward with this so bad he can't stand it, but he knows what kind of a "bucket of worms" this witch hunt can turn into, as does his Boss. I feel they will simply let this play out until the Media gets tired of it and quits, afterall it's their feeding frenzy that has kept it going so far...

The 2009 Swine Flu Panic
Well there you have it folks, President O-Boy has spoken and according Dr. Barack Hussien O-Boy we have nothing to worry about with the current Swine Flu scare. What he actually said went like this; "It may turn out that H1N1 ... runs its course like all ordinary flus, in which case we will have prepared and we won't need all these preparations." Dr. DH O-Boy's analogy of the virus scare is simple; he said part of the concern about this strain is that because it is so new, many people will not have built up an immunity to it. My question to our Medical Wisard in Chief would be; "How do you build up an imunity to a disease Oh Powerful Wizard?"
Someone has probably told the "Boy Wonder" from Chicago, via Hawaii, via California, via Indonesia, via Mombosa, Kenya that only 140 US Citizens out of 304 million have contracted Swine Flu, 1 boy, (not even an American citizen) has died in this country from the Swine Flu. Worldwide, there have been a mire 331 cases confirmed, out of a total world population of 6.77 billion people, O-Boy included!
From what I have read so far of the WorldWide panic, the biggest victims of the Flu so far are the Hogs themselves! Egypt ordered over 300,000 hogs in that country exterminated in a frantic effort to ward off the disease. England, with only 5 reported cases, has ordered 32 million masks for their people! The funniest one of all though is out of Germany where just three cases have been reported, they are placing a Doctor aboard all Lufthansa flights to Mexico! Japan, South Korea, Greece and Turkey are using Thermal Camera's at their Airports to verify if the passengers have a fever, if they do, they are denied entry into that country.
I don't have the answer, I'm not as wise as Dr. BH O-Boy I guess. But I do think it's humorous to sit back and watch the panic. Lets see, how many of these have I witnessed? The Asian Flu in the 50's, Hong Kong flu in the late 60's, We've has the Bird flu, and several flu panics due to swine in the past. Obama's "Remaking America" Plan
Let me see if I have this right... We are gutting back on Research and Development projects for our Defense Department and Military at the direction of Rep. Barney Franks and DoD Sec. Robert Gates. Barney wanted to cut 25% from the Defense Budget for next year, so Sec. Gates simply picked the biggest targets on his desk - the USAF F-22 Raptor, the USAF C-17A, the Army Defense Modernization System (Mods to their Bradleys and Abrams Tanks) Our Missile Defense System scaled back, no new destroyers for the Navy, and a new military communications satellite will be scaped also. Rep John Murtha, D-Pa. said the proposals were "an important and long overdue attempt to balance want and need at the Defense Department". (I wonder if he thought like that when the DoD pulled something he needed for survival when he wore his US Marine uniform?)
Now the reason I bring this up is because I find it alarming that while we have either scaled back, or made cuts in our 2010 Defense the Iranians, N. Koreans, Russians, and Chinese Governments are building up their Military, even Japan and Viet Nam are included. In fact Russia has just bought several Drones from Israel's "Israeli Aeronautical Institute (IAI) that are from United States technology we shared with Israel during the 1980's under Reagan. The Iranians and N. Koreans are building ICBM Missiles as fast as they can, China and Russia are rebuilding their Navies and Air Forces, Japan is building a Radar Missile Defense System out of fear of N. Korea. Viet Nam has just bought two Deisel Powered Submarines from Russia. What is going on?
Oh sure, Sec. Gates has said that we only need 187 F-22 Raptors, but gave the go ahead to increase production on the F-35 JSF Fighter Plane, which is far inferior to the F-22. Also on the chopping block was the C-17 Globemaster III which is reputed to be the most flexible cargo aircraft in the the USAF Airlift Fleet, gone! Our Misille Defense System was second to none on detecting and destroying in-coming ICBM's (It has been tested, and it works!). The Abrams and Bradley fighting duo are/were in need of upgrades to remain superior for another 20 years. The Navy Zumwalt-class ships feature a unique and stealthy tumble-home hull form, electric drive propulsion and new radars. In addition to missile cells, the destroyers also will mount two 155-millimeter (6.1-inch) advanced gun systems, the largest guns designed to be fitted on a new warship since the 1950s.
All Gone, or cut back! Why? For Obama and Geithner to give the funds to the Automaker Unions? So AIG and other executives can recieve their bonuses and take free trips to exotic locations at Taxpayer expense? Obama has already said he wants to shrink the Military, thus the program cuts, thus a weakened US National Security System. Next comes the 2nd Amenment and Private Gun control and Socialized Medicine. Obama has already adopted a new flag for his made-over America, so get ready...

Conservatives Unite!
Conservatives Unite! We need to write to our RNC and Republican Lawmakers in Washington and tell them to exploit the ethics investigations against four Democrats like they did our elected Officials four years ago over the Abramoff Scandal, remember then house majority leader Tom DeLay? and Rep. Bob Ney from Ohio? Then there was Rep. Randy Cunningham who was convicted of taking $2.4 million in bribes and resigned his office in 2005. Or the two lawmakers with questionable sexual orientations, Mark Foley and Larry Craig. The Democrats pounced upon these five individuals with everything they had until all were either removed from office, or resigned.
Now we have a new crop of Lawmakers, this time Democrats all, who need pouncing upon very, very hard... First we have (from oldest to newest ethics charges), NY Rep. Charlie Rangel is being investigated by the House Ethics Committee in completely four different areas, including, 1.) his reported failure to properly report income taxes on a Caribbean villa in the Dominican Republic; 2.) use of four, rent-controlled apartments in Harlem; 3.) questions about an offshore firm asking Rangel for special tax exemptions; and, 4.) whether Rangel improperly used House stationery to solicit donations for a school of public affairs named after him at City College of New York.
The second Democrat, Penn. Rep. Jack Murtha, is facing a federal probe for purportedly steering defense appropriations to clients of KSA Consulting, which employed his brother Robert, and the PMA Group, founded by Paul Magliocchetti, a former senior staffer on the Appropriations Committee Subcommittee on Defense.
Third, there is California Sen. Dianne Feinstein charged with devising legislation that helped her husband get a federal contract to sell foreclosed properties at compensation rates higher than the real estate standards. Of course Sen. adamently denies any wrong doing! Fourth, and last we have another Californian Democrat, Rep. Jane Harman who is accused of offering to help seek reduced charges for two pro-Israel lobbyists suspected of espionage in exchange for help from a pro-Israel donor, also suspected Israeli agent, in lobbying House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to give Harman a key chairmanship.
If we can rally the support to force resignations of these four, plus elect Rob Simmons over Sen. Chris Dodd in Conneticut, get Jim Tedisco of NY into Congress over his opponent maybe we will stand a chance of taking back the Legislature in 2010. Of course it would be ideal to have Minnesota's Norm Coleman back too, but it looks more and more bleak for his return, what a great loss!
This then is the mission, write, email, phone, ask our duly elected Republican Lawmakers to force the issue on these ethics charges until action is taken... (How long has the charges against Rangel and Murtha lay dormant?). Write to the RNC Chairman, Michael Steele and ask him to incite enthusiasm and support for an election rally in California, Pennsylvania, Conneticut, Minnesota, and New York. We can do it fellow Conservatives and Republicans! Lets go...

Our new apologetic, about face OAS foreign policy
Just what is Barack Obama's OAS political motive? Just how are we to benefit from bellying up to Socialists and Communists like Fidel & Raul Castro, Hugo Chavez, Evo Morales and Daniel Ortega? It should be very suspect to everyone that this NOT the change that most American's voted for this past November. Obama has rescinded 40 plus years of travel restrictions to Cuba, (and is talking about lifting the embargo on foreign imports to that country). Now he (Obama) is talking about renewing diplomatic relations with Venezuela once more. Hugo Chavez expelled the U.S. ambassador to Venezuela, Patrick Duddy, in September in solidarity with leftist Bolivian President Evo Morales, who ordered out the top U.S. diplomat in his country for allegedly helping the opposition incite violence.
What are we, the American people to do when our present leaders are constantly putting our great country down while abroad and in front of foreign leaders such as Daniel Ortega, Hugo Chavez, Evo Morales? Both President Barack Obama and his Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton haven't missed an opportunity to apologize for past administration foreign policies, (of which Mrs. Clinton's hubby was very much a part of as the 42nd President of the United States!). The sad part in this whole affair is; Our own Republican party has let us down by becoming just another arm of the tax and spend Democrats since 2001, which is why they lost seats in 2004, 2006, and 2008. They have forgotten what being a true Republican stands for, they have forgotten the Republican Principles.
I feel the one reason that Barack Obama is acting with "the pedal to the metal" to reverse U.S. Policy abroad is because he feels he has a 50-50 chance of a second term to complete his Socialist agenda for America. He hasn't missed an opportunity to place blame on his predeccessor, George W. Bush when something goes a wray. He said his was an agenda of change, and boy did he mean it! His policy seems to be one of overturning 233 years of Democracy in the United States of America for a Socialist form of Democracy. It shouldn't surprise anyone though, if you study Obama's background, his personal beliefs, and of those who he has on his cabinet staff. I can only hope the Republicans can pull themselves together before 2010 and take back seats in both houses of our legislature, or we will be doomed to the same Socialism that has nearly brought England, Canada, and all of Europe down.
By the way Ms. Napolitano, according to your recent DHS inteligence criteria, I guess I'm a right-wing extremist. I am a life member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), a life member of the Non-Commissioned Officers Association (NCOA), a devote hardcore Republican and strict Conservative, plus I'm Retired Military and a Viet Nam Veteran. I'm disgruntled, but I haven't just returned from Iraq or Afghanistan!

Obama's new high speed rail plan
Let's see, Barack H. Obama wants to spend $13 Billion dollars to develop high speed rail service in this country, and in the middle of the worst recession/depression I've seen during my 67 years too. Mr. Obama claims this would alleviate the problem of our overcrowded highways and airports.
"Building a new system of high-speed rail in America will be faster, cheaper and easier than building more freeways or adding to an already overburdened aviation system, and everybody stands to benefit," Mr. Obama said April 15, 2009 in Washington DC.
The new Transportation Secretary, Ray LaHood has already submitted a plan to Congress that he called his "Strategic Plan" that includes $8 Billion dollars of stimulus money from a grant program that law contained, along with an additional $5 Billion dollars to be allocated over the next five years. Of course House Speaker Nancy Pelosi loves the idea! Her home state of California would ger the lions share of the money to kickstart their own similiar plan. Other states and areas to benefit would be Obama's home state and home town of Chicago, Ill. And possibly the Boston and Washington DC areas since VP Biden used to be a rail commuter. What I can't see, nor understand is how this would help make the road traffic on our interstates and air space less crowded???

So much for Obama's promise of rebuilding the nations roads, bridges, and dams with the stimulus dollars and putting our unemployed back to work! So far the Obama crowd has attempted to place blame for everything they have started on the Bush Administration, and not themselves... I'm waiting to see how Obama, or one of his talking heads connect this fiasco to George Bush.
