The U.S. is no longer at war with terrorists?

Well It's official now, with a Democratic Socialist in the White House now, and former Muslim at that, Obama's head of the White House Homeland Security Office, John Brennan advising him, The United States is no longer in a war on terror, nor are we fighting jihadists or are we "locked" in a global war... No, instead, according to Mr. Brennan told the Center for Strategic and International Studies , we are solely at "war with Al Qaeda" and their extremist allies. Why is it that this Administration keeps tearing apart everything the former Administration put in place? Socialism, that's why!

The New Democratic Socialist Party, of which both Obama's are card-carrying members, cannot tolerate any type of Patriotism toward not only the former Bush Administration, but anything that speaks of Conservative values, while trying desparately to liken themselves to Ronald Reagan, who broke the USSR up and brought an end to East Germany's 40 plus years of Soviet oppression. Obama ought to be ashamed of himself for equating his Socialist movement with someone like President Reagan who hated the word...

What Mr. Brennan left unsaid in his speech was that BHO is simply keeping his campaign promises to the Palestinian Hamas and Lebanese Hezbullah Jihadist's, when he said; "if forced to take sides, I will take your side everytime!" what he was referring to was their terrorist activities against the Israeli's, but those words, coupled with the $900 million dollars Hillary Clintons State Department delivered to their leaders to "Rebuild" sums up the Obama Administration's train of thought very well, I think, how about you???

Paying Homage to this weeks deseased celebrities

This past week hasn't been a good week for celebrities, it's been a terrible week. First Ed McMahon dies at age 86, then Farah Fawcett, remembered as one of "Charles Angeles" passes away at age 62, after her came Michael Jackson whom some called the "King of Pop", but I referred to as the "King of Wacko's" dead at age 50, and last but not least, Billy Mays, the TV Infomercial Icon of Oxy-Clean and Orange-Glo fame, passed away in his sleep, also age 50 years... I'd trade ten Democrats apiece to have all four of these celeb's back in one piece. Lets see, we could begin by trading the first ten; Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Reid, Durbin, Franks, Murtha, Specter, Dodd, Schumer, just for starters, that would bring back one celebrity you fill in the other 30 Democrats yourself!

The New AmericorpGate Scandal

This is an excerpt from Wikipedia's article covering the Clinton's Travelgate scandal in 1993;
"During the 1992 election campaign, the Clintons used an Arkansas travel agency, World Wide Travel (working with Clinton's cousin Catherine Cornelius). The firm had provided a million dollars in deferred (fly now- pay later) travel for the Clinton campaign, freeing up much needed cash for campaigning. Employees of the firm donated to the Clinton campaign. The apparent pay-back to the firm -- apparently supervised by Mrs. Clinton -- resulted not only in the firing of White House employees without cause but also in false accusations against Billy Dale (who had worked in the White House for 30 years and for 8 presidents), ending in a criminal trial in which the jury quickly acquitted Dale."

* The U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of California complained about Walpin’s conduct to the IG oversight board and alleged he withheld exculpatory evidence.

* Walpin had "been absent from the Corporation’s headquarters, insisting upon working from his home in New York over the objection" of the board.

* He "exhibited a lack of candor in providing material information to decision makers." * He "engaged in other troubling and inappropriate conduct." * He "had become unduly disruptive to agency operations, impairing his effectiveness."

Obama has broken the Law according to Senator Chuck Grassley, read the text of his letter to the President below;

Grassley said it looks like the White House is today modifying its stance and saying that last night’s ultimatum started the 30-day notification clock. "Either way, it looks like the letter and spirit of the law Congress passed last year to try to safeguard the independence of Inspectors General from the heavy hand of the executive branch that it’s supposed to oversee might have been circumvented," he said. Grassley has worked for many years to empower Inspectors General to act as effective watchdogs for taxpayers and federal program beneficiaries. He’s also worked to hold Inspectors General accountable when they’ve failed to fulfill the responsibilities of the role. Grassley has conducted extensive and active oversight of the federal bureaucracy. "The importance of constant, independent review of the work of federal agencies has been proven again and again, and Inspectors General are a key part of that effort," Grassley said. "Congress recognized the need for independence when it passed the reform legislation last year requiring congressional notification 30 days prior to removal. Dear Mr. President:

I was troubled to learn that last night your staff reportedly issued an ultimatim to the Americorps Inspector General Gerald Walpin that he had one hour to resign or be terminated. As you know, Inspectors General were created by Congress as a means to combat waste, fraud, and abuse and to be independent watchdogs ensuring that federal agencies were held accountable for their actions. Inspectors General were designed to have a dual role reporting to both the President and Congress so that they would be free from undue political pressure. This independence is the hallmark of all Inspectors General and is essential so they may operate independently, without political pressure or interference from agencies attempting to keep their failings from public scrutiny.
Last year, President Bush signed the Inspector General Reform Act (P.L. 110-409) into law. Both you and I were cosponsors of this important legislation that was introduced to strengthen the independence and integrity of the Inspectors General. One of the most important provisions of the legislation we cosponsored was Section 3 which amended the procedures for the removal of Inspectors General. Specifically, Section 3 requires that, "the President shall communicate in writing the reasons for any such removal or transfer to both Houses of Congress, not later than 30 days before the removal or transfer." No such notice was provided to Congress in this instance.
As you may recall, the Senate Committee Report (S. Rep. 110-262) accompanying the Inspector General Reform Act stated the intent of Congress. That report stated:

*** "The Committee intends that Inspectors General who fail to perform their duties properly whether through malfeasance or nonfeasance, or whose personal actions bring discredit upon the office, be removed. The requirement to notify the Congress in advance of the reasons for the removal should serve to ensure that Inspectors General are not removed for political reasons."

*** Given that you were a cosponsor of this vital legislation I am deeply troubled to learn of the ultimatum given Inspector General Walpin absent Congressional notification. There have been no negative findings against Mr. Walpin by the Integrity Committee of the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE), and he has identified millions of dollars in Americorps funds either wasted outright or spent in violation of established guidelines.[1] In other words, it appears he has been doing his job. We cannot afford to have Inspector General independence threatened. In light of the massive increases in federal spending of late, it is more critical than ever that we have an Inspector General community that is vigorous, independent, and active in rooting out waste, fraud, and abuse. I urge you to review the Inspector General Reform Act you cosponsored and to follow the letter of the law should you have cause to remove any Inspector General.

You will see just how familiar these two stories are, but how this scandal dwarfs the Clinton TravelGate Scandal. Here we have a case of an Inspector General doing his job, and as such he stepped on the toes of one of the Obama's big campaign contributors for misuse of Federal Funds... Two principal Grantee's; Kevin Johnson (former NBA Star) and Dana Gonzalez were both found by IG Walpin to have misused $850,000 of Federal Grant funds provided their project "St. Hope Academy" which was a grantee under Americorp's Grant program, and the President NOT following a Law he himself co-sponsored in 2007 of giving all Inspector Generals 30 days notice prior to removing them from Office.
The entire affair sounds very socialistic to me, what do you think?

Another One Bites the Dust!

Barack Obama has chosen a possible 2012 rival to "exile" to Communist China as the United States Ambassador... Utah's Republican Governor, Jon M. Huntsman Jr. comes with a swelled resume in Government and Foreign Relations, ie.; White House Staff Assistant in the Reagan Administration, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce and the U.S. Ambassador to Singapore under George H.W. Bush, and a U.S. Trade Representative under George W. Bush. One top of all of that he and his family both lived and worked in Taipei, Tiawan in the late 80's as an LDS Mission Representative. Gov. Huntsman speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese.

I feel he is the right candidate for the job, but I just wonder why he accepted so quickly? Exactly what was Obama's motive behind his choice of nominee for this Post? How much influence did Hilliary have in the decision-making over Obama selecting Governor Huntsman? What better way to take a person out of the loop as a potential Presidential Campaign rival in 2012, or any other year than this? Didn't Sen. John McCain suggest Gov. Huntsman as a possible Republican Candidate in 2012? Which brings up another question; What happened to all of the Republican enthusiasm over Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska, Bobby Jindal of Louisiana, or Mark Sanford of S.C.? Just a couple months ago these were the Republican Parties new rising Stars... What happened? Maybe after watching Obama and his Democrat Cronies (plus Specter, Snowe, and Collins Rino's all) run up a deficit of $9.3 Trillion Dollars by 2013 all three said "No Way!".

Maybe we could talk someone like Rep. Eric Cantor, R-Va. the Republican Minority Whip in the House to step up to the plate... His opponents would probably attack his Jewish religious background, as did Mitt Romney's opponents attack his Morman religious beliefs in the 2008 Primaries, but it wouldn't be the first time Congressman Cantor has faced that kind of predjudism. Congressman Cantor has served as Chairman of the Congressional Taskforce on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare, and as Committee Member on the House Finacial Services Committee and the all powerful House Ways and Means Committee. We could recruit Louisianna's Governor, Bobby Jindal to run on the same ticket with Congressman Cantor! Bobby Jindal has a M.Litt. Degree in Political Science from the University of Oxford, and is a Rhodes Scholar to boot. Oh! by the way... Governor Jindal is a Roman Catholic for any of you who who cares. He was born a Hindu but converted to Catholism while in high school. I would definitely campaign for and vote for a Cantor/Jindal ticket in 2012, wouldn't you?

The New Democratic Socialist Agenda

The New World Order, The New Party and the DSA, and the radical group called "The Public Allies", with the exception of maybe the "New World Order", how many people have heard of the New Party, the DSA, or the Public Allies? Would you believe that your new President, "The Messiah" I believe the media was calling him last year, and his wife Michelle are active in all four Organizations? In fact Barack Obama is one of the founders of the Chicago Chapter of the Public Allies Organization, which was founded in 1992. Once the Chicago branch was up and running, Barack stepped down and Michelle became the Public Allies new director. Public Allies is a Socialist Organization affiliated with the AmeriCorps. that Bill Clinton sponsored in the early 90's. The group uses tax payer dollars to pay people who sign up. The Public Allies paid members spend most of their time protesting. Public Allies teaches the young adults that work for them that America is a racist, oppressive place in need of "social change.

The next group up the ladder is the DSA, or "Democratic Socialists of America", which is two organizations merged into one; the Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee (DOSC) and the New American Movement (NAM). The DSA has among it's members a few Organizations and individuals you might know or have heard of, such as; United Farm Workers co-founder Delores Huerta, the Intl. Assoc. of Machinists and Aerospace Workers President William W. Winpisinger. In the Entertainment and Journalism Fields; Critic Irving Howe, Journalist Gloria Steinem, Author Barbara Ehrenreich, and former Acting Quild President Ed Asner. In the Political arena the DSA is full; former Congressman Ron Dellums, and 1997 New York mayorial candidate Ruth Messinger, UAW's co-founder Victor Reuther, The list goes on and on.

The New Party of America? the New Party was founded by the DSA in the early 90's to act as their Political Party to push forth the socialist principles of the DSA by focusing on winnable elections at a local level and spreading the Socialist movement upwards. The New Party endorsed Barack Obama last year when he was a Presidential Candidate, just like they endorsed him in his campaign for his State Senate Seat in Illinois. They can't deny it either! Here is a quote from their own website;

" New Party members are busy knocking on doors, hammering down lawn signs, and phoning voters to support NP candidates this fall. Here are some of our key races... llinois: Three NP-members won Democratic primaries last Spring and face off against Republican opponents on election day: Danny Davis (U.S. House), Barack Obama (State Senate) and Patricia Martin (Cook County Judiciary)."

And of course everyone knows about the supposed "New World Order" that former Sec.of State Dr. Henry Kissinger always referred to during the late 80's - 90's. It supposedly involves Worldwide Socialism with Representatives from every Country on Earth under one governing body, The United Nations! Remember? Sen. John Kerry kept harping on this topic in his 2004 failed bid for the White House job. He wanted "World Approval" on our War on Terror, among other hot buttons during his failed campaign.

Where am I going with all of this? I simply want to bring to light a few facts that back up the claim that the far left-wing Democrats are in fact working steadily toward their goal of enslaving us all... Take for instance Obama's desire to ratify the CIFTA agreement with the 34 OAS Countries involved, his push for tighter restrictions on Gun Owners and Gun Ownership, his micro-management of our Military, One Commander, Adm. James Stavridis, was removed from his command by SecofDef. Robert Gates for bringing to light the Hamas/Hazbullah presence in South and Central America, another Commander, Gen. McKiernan was removed from his command as Allied Commander of Coalition Forces in Afghanistan for no real apparent reason, at least none made know to the public!

All these changes, backed by the facts, lead me to believe that it is true... Obama does in fact want to make us no more that just another third world country...

Can you believe it? This one of the very reasons why I chose NOT to move back to my home state after retiring from the military in 1983. A Followup on Pelosi and her role in the CIA Interrogations Debacle

House Speaker, and third in-line to be President, Nancy Pelosi, D-Ca., insisted she didn't know anything at all about the CIA using waterboarding on accused Terrorists while George W. Bush was POTUS. At least that's her story, and she is sticking with it... But Rep. Pete Hoeskstra, R-Mi., and now even the CIA itself, says differently, but Pelosi's spokesperson is still sticking to the script of denial based on the fact that the CIA Brief Pelosi attended didn't clearly address the subject of waterboarding. Rep. Hoekstra is the ranking Republican on the House Inteligence Committee, and he brings up an interesting, and valid arguement, and I quote him;

"I think that nobody wants to take any accountability for it, Is it fair to go after people in the CIA or at the Justice Department when Congress was briefed on this program and knew it was going on? That doesn't seem very fair to me. If there is going to be any accountability, Congress is where it needs to start."
　
What Rep. Hoeskstra is saying makes sense, at least to me anyway. Right now quite a few Democrats are all for starting a witch hunt on this subject, all means President O'Boy too, of course he is sorta-kinda hiding behind the scenes and letting his AG, Eric Holder do his talking, like Pelosi is letting her spokesperson do hers. Liberals are calling the interrogation technic's "Torture" "It's a Crime!", their demanding the heads of those in the CIA and the past Justice Department just to cover their own behinds! If we allow them to prosecute one CIA or Justce Dept. employee over this, then we have to demand that all of those who took in the proceedings, or CIA Briefs be prosecuted also. That would include House Speaker Pelosi, who by her own admission was briefed once in September, 2002 when she was a senior member of the House Inteligence Committee, and her replacement on that committee, Rep. Jane Harman, D-Ca. was also present at one briefing in February, 2003! So it isn't like anyone in Congress didn't know, just like Rep. Hoekstra said.

According to the new CIA Director, Leon Panetta in his 5/6/2009 letter accompanying the CIA Brief records to Rep. Silvestre Reyes, D-Tx., which shows the Congress was briefed 40 times by the CIA, and 13 of the briefings the subject of waterboarding was covered. DCI Panetta stated on the cover letter; "In the end, you and the Committee will have to determine whether this information is an accurate summary of what actually happened."

AG Eric Holder wants to go forward with this so bad he can't stand it, but he knows what kind of a "bucket of worms" this witch hunt can turn into, as does his Boss. I feel they will simply let this play out until the Media gets tired of it and quits, afterall it's their feeding frenzy that has kept it going so far...

The 2009 Swine Flu Panic

Well there you have it folks, President O-Boy has spoken and according Dr. Barack Hussien O-Boy we have nothing to worry about with the current Swine Flu scare. What he actually said went like this; "It may turn out that H1N1 ... runs its course like all ordinary flus, in which case we will have prepared and we won't need all these preparations." Dr. DH O-Boy's analogy of the virus scare is simple; he said part of the concern about this strain is that because it is so new, many people will not have built up an immunity to it. My question to our Medical Wisard in Chief would be; "How do you build up an imunity to a disease Oh Powerful Wizard?"

Someone has probably told the "Boy Wonder" from Chicago, via Hawaii, via California, via Indonesia, via Mombosa, Kenya that only 140 US Citizens out of 304 million have contracted Swine Flu, 1 boy, (not even an American citizen) has died in this country from the Swine Flu. Worldwide, there have been a mire 331 cases confirmed, out of a total world population of 6.77 billion people, O-Boy included!

From what I have read so far of the WorldWide panic, the biggest victims of the Flu so far are the Hogs themselves! Egypt ordered over 300,000 hogs in that country exterminated in a frantic effort to ward off the disease. England, with only 5 reported cases, has ordered 32 million masks for their people! The funniest one of all though is out of Germany where just three cases have been reported, they are placing a Doctor aboard all Lufthansa flights to Mexico! Japan, South Korea, Greece and Turkey are using Thermal Camera's at their Airports to verify if the passengers have a fever, if they do, they are denied entry into that country.

I don't have the answer, I'm not as wise as Dr. BH O-Boy I guess. But I do think it's humorous to sit back and watch the panic. Lets see, how many of these have I witnessed? The Asian Flu in the 50's, Hong Kong flu in the late 60's, We've has the Bird flu, and several flu panics due to swine in the past. The only virus I've seen kill off millions so far has been AIDS/ HIV, and it's still killing people!

Obama's "Remaking America" Plan

Let me see if I have this right... We are gutting back on Research and Development projects for our Defense Department and Military at the direction of Rep. Barney Franks and DoD Sec. Robert Gates. Barney wanted to cut 25% from the Defense Budget for next year, so Sec. Gates simply picked the biggest targets on his desk - the USAF F-22 Raptor, the USAF C-17A, the Army Defense Modernization System (Mods to their Bradleys and Abrams Tanks) Our Missile Defense System scaled back, no new destroyers for the Navy, and a new military communications satellite will be scaped also. Rep John Murtha, D-Pa. said the proposals were "an important and long overdue attempt to balance want and need at the Defense Department". (I wonder if he thought like that when the DoD pulled something he needed for survival when he wore his US Marine uniform?)

Now the reason I bring this up is because I find it alarming that while we have either scaled back, or made cuts in our 2010 Defense the Iranians, N. Koreans, Russians, and Chinese Governments are building up their Military, even Japan and Viet Nam are included. In fact Russia has just bought several Drones from Israel's "Israeli Aeronautical Institute (IAI) that are from United States technology we shared with Israel during the 1980's under Reagan. The Iranians and N. Koreans are building ICBM Missiles as fast as they can, China and Russia are rebuilding their Navies and Air Forces, Japan is building a Radar Missile Defense System out of fear of N. Korea. Viet Nam has just bought two Deisel Powered Submarines from Russia. What is going on?
　
Oh sure, Sec. Gates has said that we only need 187 F-22 Raptors, but gave the go ahead to increase production on the F-35 JSF Fighter Plane, which is far inferior to the F-22. Also on the chopping block was the C-17 Globemaster III which is reputed to be the most flexible cargo aircraft in the the USAF Airlift Fleet, gone! Our Misille Defense System was second to none on detecting and destroying in-coming ICBM's (It has been tested, and it works!). The Abrams and Bradley fighting duo are/were in need of upgrades to remain superior for another 20 years. The Navy Zumwalt-class ships feature a unique and stealthy tumble-home hull form, electric drive propulsion and new radars. In addition to missile cells, the destroyers also will mount two 155-millimeter (6.1-inch) advanced gun systems, the largest guns designed to be fitted on a new warship since the 1950s.

All Gone, or cut back! Why? For Obama and Geithner to give the funds to the Automaker Unions? So AIG and other executives can recieve their bonuses and take free trips to exotic locations at Taxpayer expense? Obama has already said he wants to shrink the Military, thus the program cuts, thus a weakened US National Security System. Next comes the 2nd Amenment and Private Gun control and Socialized Medicine. Obama has already adopted a new flag for his made-over America, so get ready...

Conservatives Unite! We need to write to our RNC and Republican Lawmakers in Washington and tell them to exploit the ethics investigations against four Democrats like they did our elected Officials four years ago over the Abramoff Scandal, remember then house majority leader Tom DeLay? and Rep. Bob Ney from Ohio? Then there was Rep. Randy Cunningham who was convicted of taking $2.4 million in bribes and resigned his office in 2005. Or the two lawmakers with questionable sexual orientations, Mark Foley and Larry Craig. The Democrats pounced upon these five individuals with everything they had until all were either removed from office, or resigned.
　
Now we have a new crop of Lawmakers, this time Democrats all, who need pouncing upon very, very hard... First we have (from oldest to newest ethics charges), NY Rep. Charlie Rangel is being investigated by the House Ethics Committee in completely four different areas, including, 1.) his reported failure to properly report income taxes on a Caribbean villa in the Dominican Republic; 2.) use of four, rent-controlled apartments in Harlem; 3.) questions about an offshore firm asking Rangel for special tax exemptions; and, 4.) whether Rangel improperly used House stationery to solicit donations for a school of public affairs named after him at City College of New York.

The second Democrat, Penn. Rep. Jack Murtha, is facing a federal probe for purportedly steering defense appropriations to clients of KSA Consulting, which employed his brother Robert, and the PMA Group, founded by Paul Magliocchetti, a former senior staffer on the Appropriations Committee Subcommittee on Defense.

Third, there is California Sen. Dianne Feinstein charged with devising legislation that helped her husband get a federal contract to sell foreclosed properties at compensation rates higher than the real estate standards. Of course Sen. adamently denies any wrong doing! Fourth, and last we have another Californian Democrat, Rep. Jane Harman who is accused of offering to help seek reduced charges for two pro-Israel lobbyists suspected of espionage in exchange for help from a pro-Israel donor, also suspected Israeli agent, in lobbying House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to give Harman a key chairmanship.

If we can rally the support to force resignations of these four, plus elect Rob Simmons over Sen. Chris Dodd in Conneticut, get Jim Tedisco of NY into Congress over his opponent maybe we will stand a chance of taking back the Legislature in 2010. Of course it would be ideal to have Minnesota's Norm Coleman back too, but it looks more and more bleak for his return, what a great loss!

This then is the mission, write, email, phone, ask our duly elected Republican Lawmakers to force the issue on these ethics charges until action is taken... (How long has the charges against Rangel and Murtha lay dormant?). Write to the RNC Chairman, Michael Steele and ask him to incite enthusiasm and support for an election rally in California, Pennsylvania, Conneticut, Minnesota, and New York. We can do it fellow Conservatives and Republicans! Lets go...

Just what is Barack Obama's OAS political motive? Just how are we to benefit from bellying up to Socialists and Communists like Fidel & Raul Castro, Hugo Chavez, Evo Morales and Daniel Ortega? It should be very suspect to everyone that this NOT the change that most American's voted for this past November. Obama has rescinded 40 plus years of travel restrictions to Cuba, (and is talking about lifting the embargo on foreign imports to that country). Now he (Obama) is talking about renewing diplomatic relations with Venezuela once more. Hugo Chavez expelled the U.S. ambassador to Venezuela, Patrick Duddy, in September in solidarity with leftist Bolivian President Evo Morales, who ordered out the top U.S. diplomat in his country for allegedly helping the opposition incite violence.

What are we, the American people to do when our present leaders are constantly putting our great country down while abroad and in front of foreign leaders such as Daniel Ortega, Hugo Chavez, Evo Morales? Both President Barack Obama and his Secretary of State, Hillary Rodham Clinton haven't missed an opportunity to apologize for past administration foreign policies, (of which Mrs. Clinton's hubby was very much a part of as the 42nd President of the United States!). The sad part in this whole affair is; Our own Republican party has let us down by becoming just another arm of the tax and spend Democrats since 2001, which is why they lost seats in 2004, 2006, and 2008. They have forgotten what being a true Republican stands for, they have forgotten the Republican Principles.

I feel the one reason that Barack Obama is acting with "the pedal to the metal" to reverse U.S. Policy abroad is because he feels he has a 50-50 chance of a second term to complete his Socialist agenda for America. He hasn't missed an opportunity to place blame on his predeccessor, George W. Bush when something goes a wray. He said his was an agenda of change, and boy did he mean it! His policy seems to be one of overturning 233 years of Democracy in the United States of America for a Socialist form of Democracy. It shouldn't surprise anyone though, if you study Obama's background, his personal beliefs, and of those who he has on his cabinet staff. I can only hope the Republicans can pull themselves together before 2010 and take back seats in both houses of our legislature, or we will be doomed to the same Socialism that has nearly brought England, Canada, and all of Europe down.

I am a life member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), a life member of the Non-Commissioned Officers Association (NCOA), a devote hardcore Republican and strict Conservative, plus I'm Retired Military and a Viet Nam Veteran. I'm disgruntled, but I haven't just returned from Iraq or Afghanistan!

Obama's new high speed rail plan

Let's see, Barack H. Obama wants to spend $13 Billion dollars to develop high speed rail service in this country, and in the middle of the worst recession/depression I've seen during my 67 years too. Mr. Obama claims this would alleviate the problem of our overcrowded highways and airports.

"Building a new system of high-speed rail in America will be faster, cheaper and easier than building more freeways or adding to an already overburdened aviation system, and everybody stands to benefit," Mr. Obama said April 15, 2009 in Washington DC.

The new Transportation Secretary, Ray LaHood has already submitted a plan to Congress that he called his "Strategic Plan" that includes $8 Billion dollars of stimulus money from a grant program that law contained, along with an additional $5 Billion dollars to be allocated over the next five years. Of course House Speaker Nancy Pelosi loves the idea! Her home state of California would ger the lions share of the money to kickstart their own similiar plan. Other states and areas to benefit would be Obama's home state and home town of Chicago, Ill. And possibly the Boston and Washington DC areas since VP Biden used to be a rail commuter. What I can't see, nor understand is how this would help make the road traffic on our interstates and air space less crowded???

House Speaker Pelosi has already placed a bid on a reported $690 million dollars in stimulus money to upgrade rail service between Sacramento and San Francisco that could accomodate trains at speeds in excess of 200 mph. So much for Obama's promise of rebuilding the nations roads, bridges, and dams with the stimulus dollars and putting our unemployed back to work! So far the Obama crowd has attempted to place blame for everything they have started on the Bush Administration, and not themselves... I'm waiting to see how Obama, or one of his talking heads connect this fiasco to George Bush.

Obama passes his 1st National Security Test? Give me a break!

All of the News Media sources, including those on the internet, are lauding President Obama for "Passing his first National Security Test" over the Somali Pirate thing. It's as if these four Terrorists were an international force, and Obama won the greatest battle of his Presidency! My God, I guess Iran, N. Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq, China, Venezuela, Russia, Mexico are small potatoes, not worthy of a show of force. Don't misunderstand me, I'm both happy for all of the crew of the Maersk Alabama cargo ship, and also proud of them for having the moxy to overthrow the pirates and take their ship back, last but not least, I'm proud of our Navy Seals for taking out three of the Pirates and securing the release of Capt. Richard Phillips, unharmed! That says a lot and sends the message to these sleazebags that we are one country you don't screw around with.

Now instead of putting the United States down in front of the Turks like he did, and bowing down to the Saudi King, Abdullah, he needs to start being the American he claims to be, and cow down to no one! I was never so embarassed as I was when he bowed and took the hand of the Saudi King in reverance almost, and told the Turks our great country wasn't founded on Christianity, but a plethora of religions... Funny, I was an 'A' student in American and World History all thru public school and into college and I didn't know we had Islamic, Hindu, Buddists who also signed our U.S. Constitution, I could swear all of them were Christian! (In fact 55 of them were freemasons!) Obama wants to distance himself from his predecessor, but he needs to take a few lessons from former President Bush, he cowed down to no foreign leader or group. The world knew he was a man of his word, and that he spoke with our best interests at heart, as they did his Father George H.W. Bush (41st President of the USA), and his Fathers running- mate, former President Ronald Reagan (40th President of the USA). Take note President Obama, none of these men took a subservient role toward any foreign head of state, ever!

Obama's Foreign Protocol Gaffes

Barack Hussien Obama is either very naive or very sly with regards to his personal conduct overseas last week. First of all he presents Queen Elizabeth of England a paltry I-Pod with a few broadway musical themes and a video of her 2007 visit to Virginia and D.C., sans George W. Bush, Then he bows to the Saudi King Abdullah last week during the G20 talks in London. What sticks in my mind though is why Obama only bowed to a Royal Head of State from an Islamic country, he didn't bow to the Queen of England, or any of the other royalty he met on the trip, just the Saudi King, hummm....very interesting! Obama passed off his error in judgement when questioned later while in Strasbourg, France, by saying, "We have to change our behavior in showing the Muslim world greater respect."
　
No American is required to bow to any countries royalty, and it is rejected in our U.S. Constitution. Article I Section 9 of the Constitution forbids titles of nobility and stipulates that no officeholder or government employee may "accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state" without the consent of Congress. But then what can we expect from this Character? Isn't he the same guy who gave England's Prime Minister 25 DVD's in February? All the while accepting gifts of a Desk Pen set made from the deck of an old English Warship and other gifts for the entire Obama family? This then is what will be representing us for the next four years? Please give me a break!!!

Hugo Chavez wants the Gitmo Detainee's? Oh Lord!

I just finished reading an interesting article in today's Military. Com "Early Brief" News. It seems our "Buddy" to the south of us, Hugo Chavez the Dictator of Venezuela is now saying he will be glad to take the Gitmo Detainee's off our hands, but only if Obama promises to give Guantanamo Bay back to Castro. I guess he's jealous because he's not been in the News in recent days, he has been replaced by Brazil's President, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva as the star of the So. American Left. Called the "Teflon" Leader because of his ability to rebound time after time from scandals, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva made headlines last week at the G20 Conference in London when he blamed the economic crisis on white people, he said, "the irrational behavior of white people with blue eyes, who before seemed to know everything, and now have shown they don’t know anything."

I guess all of the Ex-Nazi Fugitives Brazil, Argentina, and Peru and several other So. American countries have been home to for decades are all dead and gone now!. Anyway, back to Chavez... Wednesday (4/1/2009) while in Doha, Qatar for a conference of South American and Arabian Countries, Chavez told the Arabic TV channel Al-Jazeera that Venezuela would be willing to take the Gitmo Detainee's. Chavez said, "We wouldn't have any problem in taking in these human beings," For good measure, Chavez also renewed his calls for the U.S. to return Guantanamo Bay to Cuba, his closest ally. Chavez said the U.S. should end its business with "this miserable prison."

Can you imagine what would happen, after the fact, 'IF' the Obama Administration were to allow Chavez to play "host" to these Terrorists? Like one prominent Proffessor in Venzuela said, "It could amount to a get out of jail-free-card." Chavez would have Al Qaeda Training camps all over Venezuela and Columbia with 240 Al Qaeda trained Terrorists to train his Soldiers and Drug Cartel Troops, he would be able in a few very short years to reek havoc on all of the North American and Central American Countries.

Obama clearly wants to close Gitmo and relocate the Detainees elsewhere, but not someplace where they would being "oppressed or tortured". A Justice Department Spokesman stated that the U.S. has not been contacted by Venezuela about moving any of the Detainees there. Who knows... I see nothing wrong with keeping them right where their at until Hell freezes over, what do you say?

The Obama's demonstrate their lack of Foreign Affairs experience

It takes someone with the ego as big as a herd of Elephants to give the Queen of England an I-Pod loaded with 40 Broadway musical themes, plus... plus a video of her 2007 visit to the states. This must have really impressed this regal 83 year old Monarch. That is exactly what your President and First Lady did yesterday when they visited Queen Elizabeth at a G20 reception held at Buckingham Palace. They not only showed how disrespectful Americans can be, they went one further when Michelle Obama put her arm around the Monarch. I'm sure the President and First Lady(?) were briefed on proper conduct and protocol while in the presence of the Queen, but obviously they weren't impressed. It has always been a firm breach of protocol to touch the Queen. But the grand old gal, not to be outdone, gave the Obama's an autographed Photograph of her and her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh.
　
It seems President Obama is quite a fan of electronic gadgetry and such, as demonstrated when he gave the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown 25 Movie DVD's that he claimed were a "Collectors Box" Iain Martin, a columnist and blogger for the Daily Telegraph, wrote that he found Obama to be rudeness personified toward Britain by the dirspect shown Dr. Brown. PM Brown gave President Obama a Pen set made from Oak Timber taken from the HMS Gannet, an old British Naval Vessel that served on anti-slavery missions off the coast of Africa. He also gave Obama a framed Commissioned paper from the HMS Resolute, the sister ship of the HMS Gannet that one of our American Whalers, the George Henry, rescued from icebergs in the NorthWest Passage in 1855. The Royal Navy Warship was restored and returned to Queen Victoria in 1856.

In other headlines, President Obama is quickly finding out that the 19 members of the G20 are placing full blame for the world financial crisis squarely on American shoulders. The French President, Nicholas Sarkozy and the German Chancellor, Angela Merkel have both said they would not sign any agreement that doesn't take decisive action to turn the crisis around . Sarkozy stated firmly "I will not sign up to any action just for form's sake... to any action that does not forcefully address an extremely deep crisis."

On the homefront, our illustrious Senate Leader, Sen. Harry Reid is pushing hard to get Obama and Geithner's "Cap & Trade" Energy Bill by using a Senate tactic called "reconciliation" which is designed to get budgets past stubborn minoritiesand to keep the Government running. In 1984 when the tactic was written, Sen. Robert Byrd, D-Wv. made sure the resolution could only be used for things dealing specifically with financial bills, ie.; Reconciliation can only be used for adjustments in spending, the debt limit, or taxes. Reid is going to have a real hard time getting this one through though, eight Democrats have refused to support the bill because of Reid's tactic being used to get it passed. It will be interesting to watch, I'm sure.

I know there are some of you who get a little tired of hearing me sound off about Obama. Quite frankly though, he is easy to sound off about because he gives you so much ammo to throw at him with all of his broken campaign promises. It is a close race on who has broken more campaign promises at this point in their Presidencies, Obama or Bill Clinton. For the most part Clinton's broken promises didn't cost the taxpayers and consumers much though, but it seems everything Obama touches costs us! When Obama signed The Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009 ("Act," Public Law 111-3), into law on February 4, 2009, he broke a campaign promise made on September 12, 2008 in Dover, NH;

"I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes."

According to the President of Americans For Tax Reform (ATR) Grover Norquist:

"President Obama may just laugh it off, as he has gotten into the habit of doing – but for these consumers of legal products most of whom make significantly less than $250,000 this broken promise resulting in a tax increase is all but funny. These are tough economic times, yet the only answer President Obama seems to have is to tax, spend and break a few promises along the way. Is this ‘change we can believe in?"

From what I have heard and read, some over exuberent Wholesalers are already charging retailers the new tax hike even before it goes into effect 4/1/2009! We hear of price gouging all the time when gasoline prices are inflated, or whenever we have a natural disaster, and all the effected States AG's go bonkers over it, but where are they on this one?

North Carolinians just this month, March, 2009, experienced an increase in the taxes on cigarettes of $0.73 per pack, and now this increase of an additional $0.61 a pack! Isn't that called a double whammy? Whats next? Alcohol? Fast Foods? Why not Video Games too? Conservatives need to stand up and make their voices heard (Notice I didn't specify Republicans? There are Conservative Democrats too!). It's too late to write to your Congressman or Senator over this, it's been Law since 2/4/2009 (Obama slid this one in on you!)... But you can tell them that, "Enough is enough!" (By the way, I'm a Non-Smoker and Non-Drinker, but not always...).
　

Obama's "New Strategy" for Afghanistan

Have you noticed how so many American's are afraid of speaking out against Barack H. Obama? Like one CNN Reporter put it; "Many Americans are so emotionally invested in the Obama presidency that they consider it too historic to fail, whatever goes wrong that they can't defend or deflect, they just blame on George W. Isn't it funny how during his Campaign for the White House, Obama repeatedly called Gen. David Petraeus's Troop Surge effort "A dismal failure", as did Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden, the other two white house hopefuls. Now he wants to do the exact same thing in Afghanistan by sending 17000 U.S. Soldiers to Afghanistan to counter the increased violence from the Talaban hiding in Pakistan. From what I have read the Pakistan Inteligence Service is aiding the Talaban insurgents in their Islamic Jihadi War aginst us Infidels, and yet Obama has promised the Pakistani President, Asif Ali Zardari, $1.5 Billion in Aid every year, or until the Al Qaeda and Taliban are defeated. Hell, that's probably equal to their entire GNP! More and more I'm believing this clown is an idiot! Earlier this past week Obama announced that we would no longer refer to the fighting in the middleeast and in the Philippines as "The War on Terror", instead, we are to refer to it as our "Overseas Contigency Operations." My question is simple; What the Hell is an Overseas Contigency Operation?

In his toughest voice yesterday (Fri. 3/27/09) when announcing his "New Strategy" in Afghanistan, Obama stated he didn't want to get tied down in a Quagmire, that he wanted a clear "exit strategy" out of the "Overseas Contingent Operations" when the time comes to leave. Excuse me, but did I miss something? In one speech he says he wants to destroy the Al Qaeda and Taliban, and in this speech he says he wants to be able cry "Uncle" when the time comes! Army Gen. David McKiernan, the U.S. Commander in Afghanistan has requested a force increase of 35,000 additional troops this year, instead though, Obama has authorized only 17,000 combat troops, and an additional 4,000 troops to help train the Police and Military of Afghanistan. In addition to the Army and Marines being sent to that front, Obama is sending "hundreds" of civilian State Department and personnel from other U.S. Agencies to "improve Afghanistan's ability to goven itself." (Which will be interesting, as President Hamid Karzai, the President of Afghanistan, has NOT asked for any help to improve his countries ability to govern itself!

Only time will tell, but how much time do we have? Fox News ran another article today that stated more Hezbollah are entering our country illegally from Mexico everyday, Cezar Chavez is offering whole islands to Russia for their Military, N. Korea is talling about shooting off an ICBM next month, (Both Japan and the U.S. has said we will shoot it dawn if N. Korea goes ahead with their plans!), and last but not least, China has been drastically rebuilding their Military in hopes of returning control of Tiawan to the Mainland Communist's. Of course we still havea force of 850 of U.S. Special Forces and Navy Seals operating in the Philippines against the Al Qada linked Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) is the smallest of the four Islamic Terror groups in the Philippines, and the most violent, the others are; Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), and the New Peoples Army (NPA) which is the militant branch of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP).

My point of mentioning the Philippines is to illustrate a faction of the Terrorism in the world where we have U.S. Military, and civilian personnel in harms way and that nobody ever hears about from the news media. We also have Military in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand either fighting or training the military and or police of those countries in their fight against Al Qaeda factions within their borders. But once again, you have to turn to the internet to discover this for yourself, the news media isn't going to tell you!

Apologize for what???

I'm confused, I really am, I'd like to ask you a question that will probably bring out the worst of some people... So far in this country there are six States that have apologized for Slavery; Florida (the latest one), Alabama, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, and Virginia. Now Conneticut is about to add their State's name to that list. My question is; Why are we apologizing now, 144 years after the end of the Civil War, (Which, by the way, wasn't fought over Slavery in the first place, but instead the major cause was undue and seemingly unfair import/export Tariff's). The reason I ask 'Why' is simply this - did anyone alive today have anything to do with the subject? Or is anyone alive today who is a survivor of Slavery? Now I want to make one thing perfectly clear, I am in no way prejudice against Blacks, I never have been, never will be, and this question wasn't intended to be racial. I just don't think this generation, (or future generations) needs to apologize for something we had absolutely nothing to do with, do you?

If all of us are so eager to apologize for the attrocities of those in another time, another century, why don't we add the millions who came to this country as "Indentured Servants"? That is how my Father's Parents became American Citizens in the late 1880's - 1890's. Why not apologize to the Cherokee and Choctaw Indians for what Presidents Jackson and Van Buren did to them in 1831 under the terms of the "Indian Removal Act of 1830" signed by Andrew Jackson and carried out by Martin Van Buren. The 'Five Civilized Tribes' residing in Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina and Tennessee were then rounded up, placed in 'concentration camps' by Federal Troops, eventually they were force marched to the Oklahoma Territories for 'resettlement'. Why? in 1828 Gold was discovered in the area of Georgia that now separated all four states involved by their State boundrylines, and that was why... Greed!

As for apologizing to the African-American population, I'm not saying 'No', but I am saying, don't include me, or expect me to apologize for something I had absolutely nothing to do with... If the States are going to start apologizing to every group of folks, or ethnic background then they need to begin first with the 'Red Man'!

My View of Our Nation March 19, 2009

Well it's finally been called off! Whew!!! I thought for a moment there that we were going to have a Veteran revolt over our Clown in Charge (CIC) attempting to start charging Service related disabled Vets to have to pay for their Medical treatment via the Veterans Administration Medical Services. Only after Politician's from both parties refused to support him, and Veterans Organization Executives from all Vet Organizations lobbied against this brain-fart did Obama back off, but he still has yet to say so himself, instead he had his #2 Clown, Nancy Pelosi to make the announcement. I guess Gen. Shinseki, Obama's new VA Secretary will have to get his $534 Million elesewhere, won't he?
In other news of the Obama Administration and Democrat corruption, both Treasury Sec. Tim Gaithner and Senator Christopher Dodd have fallen on their swords over their part in asking for, and amending the Stimulus to allow AIG to pay bonus's of nearly $170 million to their Executives, (not counting the $4 million the Fannie Mae Executives are supposted to have recieved). I felt sorry for the new AIG CEO, Edward Liddy, yesterday as he had to appologize to a House Committee for something he had little or nothing to do with. At least he said some of the AIG Exec's are giving half of the money back. Like Newt Gingrich said, instead of throwing more money at the outfit, AIG should be allowed to simply go bankrupt and liquidate. The Government didn't attempt to hold up Bear Stearns did they? No, they simply went away...
　
In the meantime, I guess it's "pay-off time" for ACORN! Have you heard the Obama Administration has given the task of recruiting 1.4 million temporary Census Workers for the U.S. Census Bureau, and he has nominated to the Federal Bench one of ACORN's Loyalists! Can you believe the Kehonee's of this Guy? He has just nominated David F. Hamilton to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit that covers Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. The Judicial Confirmation Network notes that Hamilton previously worked as a fundraiser for ACORN, the radical direct-action group that not only resurrects the dead and gets them to the polls every election but also shakes down banks and pressures them to make home loans to people who can’t afford to pay them back. Just the U.S. Census alone is bad enough, Congressional Districts are formed, Tax money laid out, etc., just on the racial composition compiled from this once every 10 years inventory of our Citizens and their demographics! But to possibly add a Judge sympathetic to ACORN's cause is a bit to much... If this is allowed to happen, then all their appeals for lost cases in the future will be funneled through the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals and Judge David F. Hamilton! In effect they would become the "Untouchables".

On another front... The Commander of the U.S. Southern Command, Navy Adm. James G. Stavridis warned the Senate Armed Services Committee Tuesday of increases Iranian and Hezbollah activities in several South American Countries. Admiral Stavridis stated his sources has reported a direct connection in Columbia between Iranian and Hezbollah in the Drug Trafficking activity. He also stated he has seen increased activities from Iranian and Hezbollah factions in Brazil, Paraquay, and Argentina. This in and of itself is disturbing, at least to me it is! If allowed to gain a foot hold on the Western Hemisphere, anywhere, these Terrorists can an will use it it as a training ground to launch new attacks against us! I can only hope someone is paying attention to this Officer. Although in other News, the DOD Secretary, Robert Gates, wants to "promote" Adm. Stavridis and give him a new Command ASAP!!! I've never trusted Sec. Gates, his CIA background greatly overrides his time as a U.S. Congressman before assuming Donald Rumsfeld's Job...

By the way, what is a "Moderate Taliban"? If anyone knows, Please enlighten me, will you? According to a Washington Times March 18th article the Saudi Government and the brother of the Afghanistanian President, Hamid Karzai, Qayum Karzai are entering into talks with a "Moderate Taliban" Spokesman, a former bin Laden associate, Abdullah Anas is acting as intermediary for the Taliban. What they are trying to do, I think, is come up with an idea to get the Taliban away from Terrorism and back into the Afghan mainstream. According to the Washington Times article, Barack Obama seems to favor at half of the agenda. the eventual departure of Coalition troops. The critical question is whether the U.S. would accept renewed Taliban rule, with all that implies: radical shariah law, oppression of women, destruction of the Afghan culture, and ruthless suppression of political opponents. I fully concur with the Washington Times accessment of the situtation;

"The alignment of interests seems to be pointing in that direction, and once the U.S. leaves Afghanistan a resurgent Taliban may be unavoidable. Furthermore, the U.S. cannot trust Taliban promises not to support terrorism in the future - it never admitted al Qaeda was a terrorist group to begin with. So in a few years we may be left with Mullah Omar back in Kabul, oppressing the Afghan people and granting safe haven for a new generation of Islamist terrorists. It seems like our country has gone to a lot of time and trouble just to return to the 1990s" .

This Man is Hell Bent to tear down everything George Bush and our American Servicemen have fought so long and hard for... Shades of Viet Nam all over again...

The Insider Players of the Subprime Scandal

I know I've wrote accusing articles against Rep. Barney Frank, Senator Christopher Dodd, Andrew Cuomo, Henry Ciserneros, and Bill Clinton over their part in the Sub-Prime Mortgage scandal that has us in the condition we are in at the present time. Well now it is time to take a look at some names not to many of you will recognize, or remember... Do the names; Franklin Raines, James A. Johnson, and Jamie Gorelick ring a bell? No? All three are Democrats, and all three were top Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac Executives that made a killing off the Sub-Prime feeding frenzy of the late 1990's early 2000's. Lets take them one at a time, okay?

First I'll begin with Franklin Raines, CEO of Fannie Mae from 1999 to 2004, prior to that he was a former Clinton Budget Director, and is now a current Housing Policy advisor to Barack H. Obama. From 1999 through 2004, or until Mr. Raines was forced to resign his CEO position by the very people who gave him the job - the U.S. Congress! Mr. Raines total estimated earning during this above six year time frame was $90 Million (Taxpayer)Dollars! He was accused of "Cooking the Books" Prior to Franklin Raines tenor as Fannie Mae CEO, he followed another unscrupulous Democrat by the name of James A. Johnson...

James A. Johnson became a name in Democratic Political circles when he served as Campaign Manager for Walter Mondale's failed 1984 Presidential Campaign. Then after serving as CEO of the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) from 1991 to 1998 Mr. Johnson served on the Vice Presidential Selection Committee's of both Senator's John F. Kerry in 2004 and Barack Hussien Obama II in 2008. But Mr. Johnson was forced to step down from the vetting processes of Obama's V.P. search because of an ad Senator John McCain ran linking Johnson to the Countrywide Financial Subprime Mortgage Scandal and Countrywide's CEO, Angelo Mozilo. Both Franklin Raines and James A. Johnson were reputed to have recieved loans directly from Mozilo. (Also two key Democratic Senators; Sen.'s Christopher Dodd, D-CT., Senate Banking Committe Chmn., and Kent Conrad, D-ND, recieved large direct loans from Angelo Mozilo and the Bank of America, which bought Countrywide after the scandal broke!) For his time as Fannie Mae CEO, Mr. Johnson was paid a reported $21 Million (Taxpayer) Dollars!

The last Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Executive involved in the subprime bebacle was a female, Jamie Gorelick. Ms. Gorelick was Vice Chairperson of the FNMA from 1997 to 2003. For her undying dedication and devotion to her job, Ms. Gorelick was compensated $26 Million (Taxpayer) Dollars during her seven year tenor! Ms. Gorelick began her Political Career as a Deputy Attorney General under the Clinton Administration before moving on to the FNMA. Later she was appointed by then Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle as a Commissioner on the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks on the United States to investigate the circumstances leading up to the 9/11/2001 Terrorist Attacks.

So there you have it folks, the silent, behind the scenes players in the Housing Scandal, the taxpayer dollars they were compensated for putting us in the position we are presently in. Not only that, but to rub salt in our wounds, nothing was ever done to any of the three and none were made to repay on nickle of the money they ripped us off for! Who was it that said "Crime really pays well"?

Obama's Presidential honeymoon first half

Well we're finally at the halfway point of "The Messiah Obama's" 100 day Presidential Honeymoon period, day 50 for those of you who can't add or subtract, LOL! My grandson asked me the other day what a Presidential Honeymoon period was for, and the best answer I could give him was found on Answers.com, which sez; "The Presidential 'honeymoon' is the short period after a President is inaugurated when the opposition party refrains from attack, Congress is inclined to support some of the President's initiatives, and the President receives high public approval ratings. Within a month or two partisan attacks generally resume and the honeymoon period ends."

Now lets put Obama's first 50 days in proper perspective to him being suseptible to attack from his opposition party. When a President initiates Government takeovers of major banks, select major manufacturing companies, ie.; the AutoMakers "Big 3", which in turn causes Wall Street stocks to tumble 25 to 27 %, or from 8900 points down to 6600 points in his 1st 50 days, do you think his opposition party should refrain from attacking him , or his initiatives? How about when three out of four, (Treasury Secretary Timothy Gaithner was confirmed despite owing $23,000 in back taxes) of his picks for key Cabinet Posts are forced to withdraw from confirmation hearings because of not paying their taxes, all of which should have been caught during the Vetting process of each appointee's background, do you think his opposition party should refrain from attacking him ?

Our fledgling President who liken's himself to President Abraham Lincoln (due simply because both were from Illinois) has overturned nearly everything him and his advisors can think of that his predecessor, George W. Bush initiated while in Office. Obama has signed into law spending bills disquised as "stimulus" that raises the budget deficit to a record $3.7 Trillion Dollars by 2010... thats next year folks? His Democratically controlled Sentate is debating another $410 Billion Dollar "Omnibus" bill designed to keep the country running, but which is full of "earmarks" Obama promised American's he would veto. Well, in it's present form, Obama has 8570 earmarks to veto!

Not all of those are Democrat earmarks, There are some pretty well known Republican Senators involved in the earmarks too... Senators such as Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., Kit Bond, R-Mo., Thad Cochran, R-Miss., Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, Jim Inhofe, R-Okla., Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., Arlen Specter, R-Pa., and even a former Republican Senator... Pete Domenici, R-NM! ...Of course, while I'm naming names I ought to include the Democrat's too, don't you think? Sen. Robert Byrd, D-WVa., Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., Tom Harkin, D-Ia., Daniel Inouye, D-Hi., Patty Murray, D-Wa., Byron Dorgan, D-ND., Pat Leahy, D-Vt., Dick Durbin, D-Ill., Bob Casey, D-Pa., Harry Reid, D-Nv., Herb Kohl, D-Wisc., Chuck Schumer, D-NY.

That isn't the full list, just the top 20 earmarking Senators. When the Democrats finally get the 60 votes required to pass this fiasco, and if "The Messiah Obama" signs it into law with all 8570 earmarks still in place, then his "honeymoon" should end early... This Man, and his Democratically controlled Congress are out to bankrupt this country, and make all of us dependent on Big Government. Wait until Obama-Peloisi-Reid overhaul our Health Insurance!!!

And Man! I don't think America can take 50 more days of this Clown from Illinois, via Hawaii, via Indonesia, via Mombosa, Kenya! I sure as hell know I can't... I mean, the Dow Jones has sank nearly 3000 points just since Obama was sworn in - twice! Our unemployment rate is the highest it's been in 20 plus years, 5 million homeowners are in foreclosure, Banks are failing, GM is going to declare bankruptcy, Bear Stearns is now just a memory, AIG soon will be! Others following suit are; CitiCorp., Wachovia, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and a multitude of small, local 'Mom & Pop' Banks! I mean, come on! My God!... how much more can we take?

This clown ACORN got elected this past November has already kept his most famous promise of the 510 promises,(someone elses figure, not mine!) he made during his campaign - to come to the aid of the Islamic Militants, Hamas and Hezbullah if it came down to them or Isreal, he would come to their aid everytime! Well he has already fulfilled that promise, part of his "American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009" has been given to the Palestinian Hamas and Hezbullah - $900 Million Dollars. I guess thats what Obama meant by "Reinvestment"?

Obama said last week when this money was handed over to the Palestinian Hamas/Hezbullah leaders that Isreal needed to change! Well excuse me... but just who the hell has been firing rockets and missiles across who's borders for over a year now? And Obama expects Isreal to be the one making the change? Obama's Court said that the $900 Million Dollars intended purpose was so the Palestinians can rebuild their homes and businesses... not restock their rocket and missile arsenals.! We'll see, won't we?

Newt says he is thinking of running in 2012!

Well, Newt Gingrich has started it again, he has started the media rumor that he is running for the Presidency in 2012! Gingrich told reporters in Ashland, Va at the Randolph-Macon College that he and his Wife are seriously considering running for the White House in 2012. Couple his dynamics alongside the dynamics of someone like either Gov. Bobby Jindal, R-La. or Gov. Sarah Palin, R-Ak. or for that matter, U.S. Rep. Eric I. Cantor from Virginia, the #2 Republican in the House of Representatives... Man what a team!
　
But first we need Newt, and both Governor's Jindal and Palin to help us get rid of the Nancy Pelosi's, Barney Franks, John Conyers, John Murtha, Charlie Rangel, and Henry Waxman's from the House. The Harry Reid's, Chris Dodd's, Dan Durbin's, Charles Schumer's, Carl Levin's, Patrick Leahy's, John F. Kerry's, and on the "Rhino" side; Alren Specter, Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins. Oh Wait! I forgot one, but he is a New York State Politican, Andrew Cuomo!

Andrew Cuomo was Secretary of Housing and Urban Development from 1997 to 2001 after Henry Ciseneros stepped down( he was Asst. Sec.ofHsg&UrbanDev. under Ciseneros from 1993-1997). Without his own Non-Profit Foundation, Housing Enterprise for the Less Privileged or HELP idea in 1997, Pres. Clinton would never have ordered Barney Franks to direct both CEO's of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac into insuring the 'high risk' mortgages the banks and mortgage companies like AIG, Bear Stearns, CitiCorp, Wachovia (my bank!), and Countrywide to go on a mortgage free-for-all! Yeah... He has to go too!

You know, Newt Gingrich really should have ran for the Office this past election instead of saying "Only if Fred Thompson doesn't run" because of the unfounded public sentiment toward the former Senator from Tennessee. Well Fred Thompson finally did toss his hat in the ring, and proceeded to lose! Like several others who can be called "Also rans" now, Fred didn't put much effort into his campaign and didn't garner the percentages to even place in any primary! He just needs to stay with TV, he is no Ronald Reagan, and that was what a lot of people saw in him, I personally didn't.

But please don't toy with us this time Newt! If you going to run, say so, and then go out there and knock the socks off of the Democrats!!!

Obama's Spending flip-flops...

Boy I'll tell you one thing! Your President sure has big kehonee's doesn't he? I mean just yesterday his new Treasury Secretary, Tim Gaithner and his White House Budget Director, Peter Orzag, both of them Obama mouthpieces, were on Capitol Hill yesterday testifying before the House Banking Committee and it's Ways And Means Committee Chaired by two fatcat Liberals themselves, ie.; Rep. Barney Franks and Henry Waxman. The two Obama windup dolls were saying we need the $3.7 Trillion Dollar Tax Increase, and why...

At the same time the Senate was shooting down Sen. John McCain's resolution to remove 8570 earmarks from the Senate version of the $410 Billion Dollar "Omnibus" Bill. (Remember? Obama promised the American voters to stop earmarks, if elected!). Did you really think he would? Today Obama makes the statement that he is going to eliminate wasteful spending!!! Yes Siree! This clown sure has big kehonee's...

But hell, Obama need not worry, he has a Presidential Crown defender to protect him against the bad guys. He's got White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs who will fight all the Anti-Obamanit's out there! Hell he's already called Jim Cramer, Rush Limbaugh, and Rick Santelli out for statements they've made against the "Messiah". You know it reminds me of a political cartoon I saw today on Townhall.com of Moses with the Ten Commandments in hand, waving to the high heavens, asking God to part the Red Seas for the Isrealits... and in the next frame there's Obama, also waving to the high heavens, asking God to part the Red Ink!! Now I thought that was funny...

Day 42 of Barack Hussein Obama's Debacle

As everyone who pays any mind to my diatribes from time to time, I hope you have come to the realization that I'm a devote die-hard Conservative Republican, and since I'm retired Military, maybe it's safe to say that I love my Country. Now I have to set here, with my hands tied basically, and watch some clown who can't even prove to the voters that he is fully qualified for the job the voters voted him into, tear my country apart with his "Doomsday Spending".

President Barack Obama's proposed tax increases are being met with misgivings by both Republicans and Democrats in Congress. Lawmakers in both parties question Obama's call to reduce high-income earners' tax deductions for the interest on their house payments and for charitable contributions. Also drawing fire is his proposal to start taxing industries on their greenhouse gas pollution -- a move sure to raise consumers' electric rates. The 2010 budget assumes, probably correctly, that the only way to generate a big revenue increase in the face of severe economic weakness is to use a tax mechanism–the excise tax–that is collected in relatively small increments across millions of transactions made by Americans of all income levels.

Excise taxes did most of the revenue work in the 1932 act, including excises on everything from trucks, tires, jewelry, chewing gum, and soft drinks to gasoline and electricity. Those last two are interesting due to the carbon cap-and-trade proposal in the 2010 budget, which is a de facto excise tax on those items as well as every other energy technology that relies on the most affordable energy sources: natural gas, oil, and coal.

Despite President Obama’s promise that "If your family earns less than $250,000 a year, you will not see your taxes increase a single dime. I repeat: not one single dime," his new budget raises 45 percent of its revenue from energy taxes that will be paid by everyone who fills a gas tank, pays an electric bill, or buys anything that was grown, shipped, or manufactured.
Obama has been careful throughout the presidential campaign and since being elected to say he would impose higher taxes only on the wealthiest. Republicans, however, say Obama's energy proposal amounts to a tax that would increase energy costs for all Americans.

"This massive hidden energy tax is going to work its way through every aspect of American life," said Rep. Dave Camp of Michigan, the top Republican on the Ways and Means Committee. "How we light our homes, heat our homes and pay for the gas in our cars, in every phase of our daily lives, we will be paying higher costs."

Today Obama has sent his two Staffer Mouth-pieces to the Hill to argue for his $3.7 Trillion Dollar Deficit/Budget/Recovery Bill. Treasurery Secretary Geithner is at the House of Representatives making his Bosses case in front of the Ways and Means Committee, while the White House Budget Director, Peter Orszag, is testifying in front of the House Budget Committee. From what I've been able to suffer through seems to be pretty much along party lines with regards to questioning. Democrats praising Obama, Republicans not praising obama! We'll just have to see... won't we?

My thoughts on the path Obama is leading us

How many of you out there have been keeping up with the budget debacle from the Liberal Democrats, led by the now famous Obama-Pelosi-Franks-Reid-Dodd team? When all the smoke and mirrors clear, our budget deficit for the next year will be over $4 Trillion Dollars! Right now that figure stands rock steady at $3.6 Trillion... Now thats a lot of pork folks! Here is a simple way of putting that into proper perspective, thanks to Brian Wilson of Fox News;
　
– If you spent $1 million an hour, non-stop for 24 hours a day, you wouldn’t run out of money for 411 years.

– If you took 3.6 trillion one-dollar bills, and placed them end-to-end, that line of bills would reach from Capitol Hill to the sun and then back to Capitol Hill and then back to the sun — and then almost all the way back to Capitol Hill again.

– Or try this: 3.6 trillion seconds ago, our ancestors were using stone tools and Neanderthal men still roamed Europe.

I like that first one... that takes care of the Ladies for a while doesn't it? The 2nd fact? That's what Obama is doing, he is 'burning up your money'! That 3rd one is kinda hard to swallow though, I didn't know I had relatives 3.6 Trillion years old! In my family I have been lead to believe that I was the patriarch... not some Stone-age guy! Well, maybe I qualify for both afterall. LOL!

There are a few facts missing here at present; Aren't deficits supposed to be paid back just like anyother debt? You know the economist's are saying that if our deficit never increased another dollar due to future budgetary increases, it would take the next four generations to pay this already accrued deficit off! That pretty much takes care of the rest of the 21st century, dontcha think?

Now for another topic that angers me terribly; Friday of this past week, Feb, 27, 2009, Obama made an announcement at North Carolina's Camp Lejeune about ending the War in Iraq in 18 months, he even placed an exact date on the final troop withdrawal, Aug. 31, 2010! Now all the Iranian/Syrian backed Insurgents have to do is wait! How damned dumb can one person get? Is this his way of keeping his campaign promises to the Hamas and Hezbullah? Then the Media-types began interviewing the handful of young Marines who were handpicked (I'm retired Military, and I know how these things work folks), who gave positive lip service to Obama's speech. If you watched it, did you also notice that all except one Marine was Black? I thought the one young man who made the statement" It's about time, the real war is in Afghanistan, not Iraq." Excuse me? But when someone is shooting at your ass, on an unfamiliar street, in a foreign country with the intention of killing your ass, I'd say you were in a freak'n war dude!

Well anyway, Obama plans to leave behind 50K of our younsters to finish training the Iraqi Forces until 2011... So that makes him a better President than Wilson, or Truman, or Nixon, right? Wrong!! Once the last U.S. Troop is withdrawn from Iraq, that war will pick right back up again! Mark my words folks... this clown doesn't have a clue...

62 more days of this B.S.?

Might I ask one simple question? Where are our Politician's heads? Do all of them have a bad case of "Opiticalrectilitis"? "Bozo" Obama, the President has only been in office 38 days, and our elected officials have not only allowed him too, Hell! they've even drafted them for him!, nearly $3.7 Trillion Dollars in spending!!! Damned! We still have 62 days left of his "100 day Presidential Honeymoon", where will he have us by then? Me thinks this Clown don't have a clue! Right off the git-go he hands the Taxpayers a Budget Deficit they will never be able to repay, then he says by year 2013 he will halve the decifit, but of course, he gives no details, just reteric... Just two day's ago he was talking about a $410 Billion dollar "Omnibus Bill" (that has over 9000 earmarks hidden in it!). Now he (Obama) claims that by raising taxes on the top 5% of all Taxpayers, who reportedly earn over $250,000.00 he will be able to repay $637 Billion dollars of this deficit by 2013.

Excuse me, but I need to ask another question at this point; Aren't these individuals who represent the top 5% Income earners the same people who Own and Operate the businesses that employ a good sized portion of the 95% of us who don't earn $250,000.00 yearly? And if he (Obama), is allowed to do this (which he will be), won't this result in an even higher Unemployment percentage than we now have? I would think so, wouldn't you? Oh I'm sorry, that's three questions... excuse me, I just had a small brain fart!

All of this, and in only 38 days in Office... And we bitched and moaned about Bill Clinton's $200 Haircut at LAX while civilian Airliners ran out of jet fuel circling the Airport, or Hilliary firing all of the career government workers in the White House Travel Office so she could hire her cousins Travel Agency, or Bill's White House Staff using the Marine One Helio to take them Golfing! Hell, even the Democrat's cringed over those! But their treating this guy like he truely is our, (Their) Messiah!!! Well I hope they enjoy themselves, because I have a feeling that come 2010 things will change, and for the better!

Your American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009

Finally, after the Stimulus bill was signed into Law, We the people are allowed to see how the Democrats plan on spending out money, and it 'Ain't' pretty! After carefully reviewing the "American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009", or the Stimulus Law for short, I've came to the same conclusion as our own economists and our Congressional Budget Office (CBO). There isn't any 'recovery' in the Law if anyone is looking for any 'quick fixes', the spending is spread out over a 10 year time frame beginning this year; 2009-2019. The CBO reports that they expect short term increases in GDP and employment. In the long term, the CBO expects the legislation to reduce output slightly by increasing the nation's debt and crowding out private investment, but noted that other factors, such as improvements to roads and highways and increased spending for basic research and education may offset the decrease in output and that crowding out was a not an issue in the short term because private investment was already decreasing in response to decreased demand.
On January 28, 2009, a full page advertisement with the names of approximately 200 economists who are against President Obama's plan appeared in The New York Times and The Wall St. Journal. The funding for this advertisement came from the Cato Institute. The ad stated, "... we the undersigned do not believe that more government spending is a way to improve economic performance. More government spending by Hoover and Roosevelt did not pull the United States economy out of the Great Depression in the 1930s... To improve the economy, policymakers should focus on reforms that remove impediments to work, savings, investment, and production. Lower tax rates and a reduction in the burden of government are the best ways of using fiscal policy to boost growth."
For the first time, but to late (as usual!) "We the people" are given a "By Pork" breakdown of how our present and future Tax Dollars are going to be wasted, and it's NOT recovery we are looking at folks, it's reinvestment! As usual with any Democratic orchestrated legislation, the big loser's in this "Act" is our Department of Defense, The Department of Veteran's Affairs was at the very bottom of the recieving line, (once again), at a paltry $1.2 Billion Dollars. Thats always how our Nations Veterans have been treated by the Democrats... The big winner's are; Education, Energy, Transportation, Civilian HealthCare. You notice I said "Civilian HealthCare" didn't you?
The National Republican Trust (PAC) has began a 'grass-roots' drive to give this Country what Obama promised, but is failing to deliver - Change! They, like the rest of us republicans, are fighting mad that our Party has let us down prior to voting on this piece of junk legislation! (Three republicans turned Rhino on us in order for the Dem's to pass the junk!) Senator's Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine, and Arlen Specter of Pennsylvannia. By turning their backs on their own party, they gave the Democrats the needed 60 votes to pass the Bill. In other words... without their votes the Stimulus Bill would have died in the Senate! The National Republican Political Action Committee and Republican National Committee (RNC) will work to replace these three Rhino's and send a message to all republican politico's "If your not a part of the answer, then your a part of the problem, and we will replace you!"

One year Smoke and Booze Free!!!

I want everone to know that yesterday marked one (1) full year since I quite both smoking and drinking. Okay, Okay... sheesh! So it was for health reasons, at least I stopped! I smoked since I was 15 years old, I'm 66 now, pushing 67 hard. That would be 50 years folks that I puffed away until my old ticker simply tried walking off the job! 50 years of 1 pk. to 2.5 pk's a day, that comes to 18,262 days, or there abouts. Total cigarettes consumed by me during that period? roughly 45,000 packs! Rounding off the price of each pack to say... $1.00, that is over $45,000 I could have used elsewhere in my life! And I haven't even began to lay in on my Beer Drinking... That was quite a bit more expensive...
At first, I only drank once or twice a month, and never more that 2 or 3 beers at each setting. You have to understand I was in the Military in those days, so the legal drinking age didn't apply! I will admit I got drunk on several occasions back then, but I walked back to the barracks each time too, I didn't drive. No, that came later, we used to have a drinkers creed at the NCO Club; "If your going to drink, then drive... Face traffic with confidence!" There were quite a few of us thoughout the Military who lived that creed too, (and still do so today), until we were pulled over by the Law! (I was one of the lucky ones, not one ticket & zero DUI's in 48 years of drinking). I was also one of the dumber ones, after awhile I hardly ever crawled behind the wheel without at least a 6-pack beside me. Yeah, I was real smart back then, and real macho... B.S.!!! Well finally, about the same time as my old heart, my old liver said "No Mas", and the VAMC I was in told me I had severe Liver damage too!
Yes Sir! I'm proud of the fact that I've been off both cigarettes and Alcohol for one entire year!!! And I don't miss either one, not one damned bit!

Barack's apparent lack of the 'transparency' he promised

I just finished reading an article on the 'net' by the Organization called "Politico.com", I'm sure everyone knows of their existence. Well, not being a big fan of 'Politico.com', I tried avoiding reading any of their articles during the 2008 Pres. Campaign because I felt all they were trying to do was dig up smut on either candidate, and I'm still a little bit Leary. Well anyway, Fox News ran an article titled "Report: Obama Issued Executive Orders Without Notifying Public". The article isn't saying Obama has in anyway lied to us about his 'transparency in office' policy, it simply states Obama's office has issued three executive orders, one memorandum, one presidential notice and a proclamation without any attention from the White House press corps. That's because the White House press office never announced them and never posted any reference to them on its Web site. The press office, when questioned on the subject, told Politico it was just a 'simple oversight'! Sounds like a typical liberal excuse when their caught with their nickers down, doesn't it

I have to agree with those folks at "Politico.com", it is a matter of grave concern and while it may not be the President's fault, it is his press office, and the day to day operation of this office is the responsibility of the Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs. Who has been bathing in his own sudden fame while making the various different News Talk Shows such as CBS's "Face the Nation" this past weekend to tell Bob Schieffer just how utterly bipartisan the effort to pass the pork bill was.

Our new President is quickly finding that our Founding Fathers weren't as outdated as he thought, he is backtracking on several fronts that he has already peremptorily gone stuck in. Fronts such as; the detainees at Camp Gitmo. Last month he issued an Executive Order to close Camp Gitmo and move the detainees to facilities here in the states, remember? Rep. John Murtha offered his district in Pa. to build a detention center big enough to house these terrorists, and the mayor of one of the towns in that district immediately jumped on the bandwagon and began making changes to his budget to make way for the new influx of tax dollars required for such an undertaking! Well it was reported today that the D.C. Federal Court of Appeals dealt Obama a bomb, and ruled that only the U.S. Immigrations Office can bring these terrorists into the U.S. not the president!

It will get better folks, we'll win a few, they'll win a few, then all will be tossed aside to save their bacon when the 2010 campaign season is upon us! I personally hope we Republicans have rallied around Michael Steele by then and are able to regain ground in both houses, plus replace the three turncoats who gave Obama his "Porkulus", I'm referring to Senator's Susan Collins and Oympia Snowe R-Maine both, and Arlen Specter R-Pa. These three Rhino's have to go and by doing so, we'll be sending a message to other Republicans - you work for us buster, we put you in office, we can can take you out of office too!

The outcome of the Federal Civil Case against Roger Barnett

$78,000 for punitive damages for detaining 16 illegals? And on your own property no less? I wonder what kind of message that sends to everyone on the other side of our borders? I also wonder if this would have ever went to court had it been 16 'illegal' American's on the Mexican side of the border being detained by a Mexican Rancher... The Tuscon, Az jury rendered their verdict today, they said Mr. Barnett didn't violate the Mexican's rights but then turned right around and awarded them the $78,000 in actual and punitive damages to 6 of the illegal aliens on their claims of assault and infliction of emotional distress!
The eight person Jury (equally divided between both genders) said Barnett was innocent of all charges except to two cited in the damages award. David T. Hardy, Mr. Barnett's attorney , called it an "80 % victory" adding he wished Mr. Barnett could have gotten the other 20 percent, and said he was appealing U.S. District Judge John M. Roll's verdict. The trial was being called "landmark" I guess because of the magnitude of the dollar amount being sought against Roger Barnett, his wife, brother. Of course there was no mention made of Gerardo Gonzalez, the illegal alien previously deported for the U.S.A.in 1993 for for possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sale. The Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF) was mum on his behalf both before, and after the court trial! Mr. Barnett's attorney, Mr. Hardy, needs to persuse this, plus bring some kind of charges against MALDEF's credentials with the Arizona Bar Association, at least let them look into the case, and other cases MALDEF has handled in Az. Also, if I were Roger Barnett, I'd not let this stop me from protecting my property, you know 22,000 acres is a large area, I wonder how many "wet-backs" an area that size can hold...

If it's Not Earmarks, Not Pork, then what the hell is it?

Well we now have a stimulus bill, soon to be a law, act, whatever Obama wants to call it! This bill, all $789 Billion of it doesn't have any earmarks? according to the Democrats it doesn't, but critics have pointed out $30 million for wetlands restoration in the San Francisco Bay area that will protect House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi's longtime pet project; protecting the Salt Marsh Harvest Mouse... $30 million dollars! Of course Rep. Pelosi called the claim 'fabricated'! Another of her favorite pet projects; the program combating sexually transmitted diseases, and smoking prevention will be included for some of the 'gravy'. Here is a list of those 'fabricated' earmarks the Dem's are discounting; A clean burning power plant in Matoon, Ill., $200 Million; The National Computer Center, $750 Million; The National Institutes of Health Offices (Both located in Maryland), $500 Million; Funding new of Hybrid and Electric cars,(Including golf carts) for the Federal Government; $300 Million; Flood Prevention, $275 Million; Public Computer Centers for Community Colleges and Libraries, $200 Million; Digital TV Converter-box coupons, $650 Million; Oh I'm not finished yet, there is more... $1 Billion for administrative costs and construction of NOAA Office Buildings; $1.3 Billion for NSA, to include an additional $450 Million for science!
It's not real clear in my mind, but then I'm just a retired enlisted slob, but it still isn't very clear to me how any of the above is going to help anyone this country... Haven't the Media types been calling this "Obama's Stimulus Package"? Well then, just who the hell will be stimulated by these wasted dollars? And how much of it will be 'trickle-down economics"? Another question I have; if everyone is going to get at least $400 from all of this by my calculations that's roughly $5 to 8 billion right there, and that's only the single/head of household taxpayers, not the married ones. Our Governor, Betty Perdue of N.C. has already spent the money she 'claims' N.C. is gonna get, and I don't think anyone has announced that dollar figure yet! Aother question - where is all of this money coming from? Are the taxpayers going to get hit with bigger taxes, inflated pricetags on gasoline, food, auto's, utilities, etc.? How about the rise in unemployment? N.C. has already asked for a Federal handout on this, and we're only one State, there's 49 others with their hands out too! Well, we'll know more after tomorrow when Obama signs the Bill won't we?

Roger Barnett's Trial Follow-up

Well folks, Douglas, Az. Rancher, Roger Barnett's Civil Suit brought about from charges imposed by the MALDEF Organization on behalf of 16 illegal immigrants is now in the hands of the Jury. Since Monday is a Federal Holiday, we'll have to wait until Tuesday to hear anymore in this case, but there is other 'spin-off' news dealing directly/indirectly with this all important Constitutional Rights case, here are a few;

Gerardo Gonzalez, described in a lawsuit brought by the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF) as a 38-year-old Mexican citizen, was convicted in September 1993 for possession of a controlled substance for sale and ordered deported to his home country.
Gonzalez, whose illegal re-entry after removal under U.S. law would be another felony, is among five women and 11 men detained by Roger Barnett, owner of the Cross Rail Ranch near Douglas, Ariz.
The next article may sound like a spin-off from the Roger Barnett case, but it's not. From what I gathered from the website below, Mr. Davis, and volunteers, have been doing this for awhile;

Jurors have recessed after a day's deliberations in Tucson federal court in a lawsuit illegal immigrants brought against a southern Arizona rancher who detained them at gunpoint in 2004.
Deliberations began Friday and resume Tuesday - after Monday's federal holiday.
Six migrants claim that 66-year-old rancher Roger Barnett should pay compensation for violating their civil rights near Douglas. They allege he threatened to shoot anyone who tried to escape.
Barnett's lawyer argued that his land was inundated with illegal immigrants who left trash on his property, damaged his water supply and harmed his cattle. He began looking for and detaining migrants for the Border Patrol to protect his property.
Barnett is also accused of assault, battery, false imprisonment and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
Of course these articles listed sound kind lacksy-dasical to most, but let me just say, that that part of the country, this illegal alien thing is an everyday thing, almost a 'ho-hum' type reaction on the part of the locals... They read, hear, and in some cases, live this story and others similar to it daily. So far as I know, the only News Media ,outside of the local Arizona newspapers, to take an interest in this story has been the Washington Times. I haven't found the story on any other major media outlet except the Washington Times. This is how nearly all illegal immigration cases go, they must be taboo or something, no major news media wants to pick one up and run it until it's conclusion! For their perserverance in this case, I applaud the Washington Times!
